Do you like coffee, pie, and live music? What if you could have all three and support a food bank at the same time?
We do that here at St. Augustine’s at the Groove Room Coffee House, the second Friday of every month (except March and August) from 7 to 8:30 pm. Our mission is to support live music in the Leaside area. Performers from seven to seventy play all genres of music, from folk to funk, classical to country. We’ve even had bagpipes! You never know what’ll happen at the Groove Room, but it’s always fun.
It’s a very supportive atmosphere where you might hear first-time performers and professionals on the same night. Whether you like listening to or playing music (or both!), this is the place for you.
Admission is $5 per person, which includes a beverage and dessert. All money collected is donated to the Flemingdon Community Food Bank.
We’re always looking for new performers. Don’t be shy, contact the church office to ask how to get on the list for the next Groove Room.
