Marcus Reinkeluers has been a part of the choral and organ scene in Toronto, London, and Southwestern Ontario in general, for “a few decades.”
While he is a computer science professional and project manager by trade, music, especially organ and choral music, has always been a large part of his life since his high school and university days. He studied organ with Gordon Atkinson in London and Erich Ehlers in Bremen, Germany. He has sung for Howard Dyck, Brian Jackson, Peter Tiefenbach, and Arthur Wenk. Marcus was assistant organist at First St. Andrew’s United Church in London during his student years.
Since moving to Toronto, he has performed with, accompanied, and directed the St. Andrew’s Chorale, was appointed for two years as music director at Humbercrest United Church, performed with Concertsingers, Consort Caritatis, Ensemble Tryptych, and Quodlibet – a choir where he eventually became music director. Before coming to St. Augustine’s, Marcus was the music director and organist of Bishop Cronyn Memorial Anglican Church in London.
